Byron E. HUDKINS, 76, R.R. 1, Kewanna, died at 4:45 a.m. today at the Pulaski County Memorial hospital, Winamac. He had been in failing health. He was born Jan. 28, 1901 in Kewanna to John C. and Clara MARTINDALE HUDKINS. He was married Jan. 28, 1928, in Kewanna to Dora STEVENS, who survives. He was a member of the First Baptist church, Rochester. Surviving are the wife; two sons, John S. [HUDKINS], Plymouth, and Hugh A. [HUDKINS], Seoul, Korea; three brothers, Waldron [HUDKINS], Knox, Walter [HUDKINS], Chicago, and Dale [HUDKINS], Knox; a sister, Mrs. Mary CAVERN, Irons, Mich.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Harrison garden chapel, Kewanna, with the Rev. Donald MAUGHAN officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetry, Kewanna. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday and until time of service Friday.
