WHEATON, Mo. - Beverly H. Rice, 61, of Wheaton, Mo., formerly of Oswego, died Friday morning, March 21, 2003, in the emergency room at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville, Mo.
She was born Oct. 31, 1941, in Goodman, Mo., to Walter T. and Maxine (Barker) Barnes. She lived in the Oswego and Wyandotte, Okla., areas before moving to Wheaton, Mo.
She worked in setting up Wal-Mart stores and was a seamstress for Levi Strauss Co.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
She married Kenneth Rice on June 5, 1960, in Kansas City. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Mickey Rice of Wheaton, Mo., Kenneth Rice II of Monett, Mo., and Ronnie Rice of Welch, Okla.; three daughters, Sherry Vance of Northglenn, Colo., Yellanda Cannon of Oswego and Robin Huntzinger of Afton, Okla.; 35 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; her mother, Maxine Barnes of Mulberry; three brothers, Edwin Barnes of Bates City, Mo., Theodore Barnes II of Amite, La., and Gary Barnes of Edwardsville; and a sister, Judith Effingham, address unavailable.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Rice.
