Sister Elma recorded: ' her half -brother (Manley DeForest, Jr.) 's body was buried in a well kept up cemetery in Holland for quite sometime before being sent back to the United States. A funeral for him was held in the Van Ressler Funeral Home in Little Valley, N.Y, a military funeral. He was buried in Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus, Cattaraugus County, New York beside his own mother.'
