Arthur J. Stoner

Arthur Jacob Stoner, 85, husband of Mary Jane Stoner, 535 Frederick St., died at Washington County Hospital early Tuesday morning after an illness of several months.

He was born in Leitersburg district. He was the son of Jacob B. and Elizabeth O. Tritle Stoner. Mr. Stoner was a member of the Church of the Brethren and the Men's Bible Class of the church.

Prior to his retirement he was employed at the Washington County Hospital.

Mr. Stoner was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter, Mrs. Steven McCleaf, Hagerstown; sons, Cecil Stoner, Paul Stoner, both of Hagerstown; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel where friends may call. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven, the Rev. Dr. Dewitt L. Miller officiating; burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening 7 to 9.
