Mr. Weis was a native and lifelong resident of Wathena. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 161, and was a veteran of World War I.
He married Violet Livingston Dec 15 1926, she survives of the home, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Weis Holder, Wathena; a nephew, whom he reared, Marvin Weir, Wathena, seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Mr. Weis was preceded in death by his parents John Weis and Minnie Weis, a brother Henry, and a sister Mamie, in infancy, and another sister Mrs. Helen Weis Weir.
Services will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the Harman Chapel in Wathena. The Rev. Robert Klein will officiate. Burial will be in Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena. Full military services will be conducted by American Legion Post 161.
