Texie Anna Cheatham was the daughter of Richard Cheatham and his wife Missouri Alston Cheatham. She married first James Lattimer and they had two children, Lurene and James Jr. in Alabama before returning to South Carolina. She married second John Mattison and they had four children, Ernest Nathaniel, Mary, John Franklin and Richard. She was buried in Violet Hill on March the 13th and was joined in 1962 by her husband John. Burial Location per Death Certificate.
