Caleb was a victim of homicide.

Caleb Jordan Pacheco, 2, of Sterling died in Sterling in January of 2011. Closed casket visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Emanuel Baptist Church, 300 Ball Park Rd., Sterling, with the Rev. Sean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Caleb was born July 15, 2008, in Sterling to Alfred Pacheco and Juanita Kinzie. Caleb's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he spoke few words, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Caleb's family would like to thank all family and friends for their unconditional love and support at this difficult time.

Caleb was preceded in death by a sister, Melanie Elaine Garcia York; grandmother, Dorcus Elaine Kinzie; and great-grandfather, Raymond Lively.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be given for a park bench in Caleb's memory, in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
