LUTZ, DEBRA MARIE (COX) Bay City, Michigan Debra passed away peacefully Thursday February 16, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Debra was born June 17, 1951 to Robert and Beth Cox in Saginaw, Michigan. On September 12, 1970 she married Robert E. Lutz of Bay City. Debra worked as a waitress in several different eating establishments during her earlier years. In her final years she was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed her crafts and quilt making also. Surviving besides her husband of 40 years, Robert E. Lutz and her children, Krista Shooltz, Michelle Macauley with fiance (Kevin Williams), Jennifer and Michael Crowl, grandchildren, Kalya Swicicki (special friend Jeramy Duford), Christian Shooltz, Talon Crowl, Aliana Crowl, 1 great-grandchild, Maci Duford, her mother, Beth Cox, brother, Randy (Patricia) Cox, sister, Brenda Kocinski and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Robert Cox in 1994. The family would like to thank Debra's special friend, Peggy Gies who helped her so much during the final years with her fight against cancer, she was always by her side and shared so many similarities in life. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 20, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church (Salzburg & 8 Mile Rds.) Monitor Twp. Rev. David F. Sherry will officiate with burial to follow in Home Cemetery, Monitor Twp. Debra's family will receive friends at the Auburn Chapel of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. on Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. On Tuesday morning Debra will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
