A. Z. Lauderdale, 90, died Feb. 17, 2012, in Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. He was born in Phil Campbell, AL, and had lived in Okeechobee before relocating to the Stuart area 50 years ago.
Before retirement, he worked for Florida Power & Light Co. in the Miami, Okeechobee, and Cape Canaveral areas before retiring.
He was a past Master, as well as a 32nd Degree member for the Acacia Mason Lodge No. 163 in Stuart and a member of the Stuart VFW. He also was a member of the American Legion in Jensen Beach. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salerno.
He was a veteran of the Army, having served in World War II.
