Before retirement, he worked for Florida Power & Light Co. in the Miami, Okeechobee, and Cape Canaveral areas before retiring.
He was a past Master, as well as a 32nd Degree member for the Acacia Mason Lodge No. 163 in Stuart and a member of the Stuart VFW. He also was a member of the American Legion in Jensen Beach. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salerno.
He was a veteran of the Army, having served in World War II.
