She was married in 1949 to Ben Laski, who died in 1970. They had 6 children together. She was married to LeRoy Frolik in 1982. He preceded her in death in 1995. Joan enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She was a strong and determined lady. If Joan came up with an idea or wanted something she would most certainly figure out a way to get it. When faced with a challenge she took it head on and found a way to fix it, mend it, recylce it or cook it. You never left her house hungry and she always made certain the leftovers were never wasted. She took great pride and joy in her close and extended family. She was as genuine as the day is long and was always there to put a smile on your face with a quirky little saying or joke.
She is survived by her children, Lynn (Barb) Laski of Nisswa, MN, Linda Frolik of Clearwater, MN, Larry (Mary) Laski of Brainerd, MN, Lee (Shari) Laski of Oregon, WI, Ben (Sandy) Laski of Minneapolis, MN and LuAnn (Brad) Wagendorf of Brainerd, MN; stepchildren: Mary Jo Crotteau of Rice Lake, WI, Jim Frolik of Markesan, WI, Connie (John) Huiras of Weyerhaeuser, WI and Steve (Brenda) Frolik of Sherburne, MN; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Darlene (Chuck) Hildebrandt, and Diane (Bill) Bartschenfeld; 1 brother Dale Roux.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dobie with Father Dave Oberts officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Randy Crotteau, Mark Crotteau, Kevin Crotteau, Logan Laski, Benjamin Laski and Matt Frolik.
