After graduation in 1942, she met Eddie on a blind date. They were married on October 15, 1944, in Monterey, California, where he was stationed with the US Navy. After he retired from the Navy, they made their home on a street close to St. Peter's Church. Their family consisted of a daughter and two sons. Baby daughter Mary died at birth.
Rosie and Eddie learned to dance in their retirement years and were avid members of the Don Lipovac Booster Club. They spent a very happy 40 years together before he passed away of stomach cancer on August 28, 1984. Rosie was holding his hand as she said "Good Bye."
On August 19, 1985, Rosie married Ted Lagoski in Leavenworth, Kansas. She spent another 26 years of married life traveling, dancing, enjoying dinners out, attending parties, playing bridge and having a great time with their friends.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer in late 2010 and passed away on October 29, 2011, while the song "Love Story" played softly throughout the room. She is survived by her husband, Ted Lagoski, one daughter, two son, a daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephew and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Ethan Myszka, who passed away in 1975.
