Walter G. CAVERN, 69, Iron, Mich., died unexpectedly at his home Monday. Mr. Cavern was born Feb. 16, 1910 to Howard and Bessie CAVERN. He was married April 20, 1963 in Edwardsburg, Mich., to Marietta HUDKINS, who survives. He retired in 1975 from the Grand Trunk railway, for which he was a station agent. He was a member of the Niles, Mich., Elks lodge and the Manitou Moose lodge. Surviving with the wife are a son, Donald [CAVERN], Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Barbara LeROY, Honolulu, Ha.; the mother, Mrs. Bessie BUDLONG, Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Robert CAVERN, St. Claire Shores, Mich., and Thomas BUDLONG, Denver, Colo., and nieces and nephews. The father preceded in death. Graveside services will be at the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery at 3 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Robert KIRTLAN officiating.
