Word has been received here concerning the death December 17 in Tujunga, Ca., of Edward D. Barton, 97, a native and former resident of Neillsville. Services were held December 21 from the Little Church of the Flowers, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Ca. Mr. Barton was born November 21, 1877, in Neillsville, where his father, Antoine Barton, was a blacksmith. Since the death of his wife, Lydia, on September 5, 1974, he had been living with his daughter, Josephine Combs, in Sunland, Ca. He is also survived by a son, Daniel Barton of San Francisco, Ca.: one grandson, Gary Combs, and five great-grandchildren all of Sunland. He is further survived by a cousin, Rose Schiller of Neillsville.
