MARY DELLE DAVENPORT, the daughter of TIMOTHY WOODBRIDGE DAVENPORT and his second wife, NANCY ELIZABETH [GILMOUR] DAVENPORT, was born on 11 July 1895 in Silverton, Marion County, Oregon. She spent her early years in Silverton and then moved to Southern California after father died in Pasadena, California in 1911.

She was married twice. She met her first husband, DAVID HOMER MORRISON in Los Angeles on 14 September 1916 and they lived at the time of the World War I Draft in 1917/1918. In about 1919 they moved to live near her husband's family in Waushara County, Wisconsin. Their first daughter, CHRISTABEL ELIZABETH MORRISON was born there in 1920. The following year they returned to Southern California and their second daughter NANCY CLAIRE MORRISON was born in Riverside, California in 1922.

DAVID HOMER MORRISON died in 1930 and in about 1933 she married REED SCOBIE HAVENS, also a native of Wisconsin. They made their home in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California and MARY DELLE's two daughters took the last name of HAVENS as their own.
