Deceased Name: Dorothy Bond Millard

Dorothy Bond Millard, 96, died Sunday at her Rancho Santa Fe home after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Millard was a native Californian and had lived in Rancho Santa Fe since 1931. She was a founder and past president of the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club and a member of the Country Friends and the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.

She was married to O. Rey Rule, who died in 1936, and to H. Ray Millard, who died in 1976. She is survived by three children, Peggy (Mrs. Yates) Faison, of Charlotte, N.C.; O. Rey Rule, of Del Mar, executive director of Hospice of North Coast; and William S. Rule, of Whispering Palms. There are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The remains will be cremated and private interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale. The family has suggested donations to a charity of choice.
