Services for Leo Stolle, 82, of Shallowater will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Shepherd king Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mel Soyer officiating.
Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
Stolle died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1915, in Cyclone. He moved to Slaton in 1921, and attended Pleasant Valley, Hackberry and Southland schools. He married Faye Wheatley on Nov. 14, 1945. in Clovis, N.M. He was a board member of the Southland school system, and he was a councilman in Grace Lutheran Church in Slaton. He was a member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church.
He farmed in the Southland area until 1967.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Beverly Craig of Lubbock; three brothers, Edmund and Arthur, both of Slaton and Roy of Shallowater; three sisters, Pearl Stolle Ella Mae Stolle and Hilda Nesmith, all of Lubbock; and a granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 4314 South Loop 289, Lubbock 79413, or to Shepherd King Lutheran Church of Lubbock, 2122 18th Street, Lubbock 79401.
