He is probably best remembered as "Pop" in The Longest Yard with Burt Reynolds. He appeared with Reynolds in White Lightning as "Skeeter" and in Gator as "Ned McKlusky", "Gator's" father. He also appeared in Emperor of the North (1973) and The Frisco Kid (1979).
