BITTING KENNETH LEE - Age 67, passed away May 28, 1999 at his home in Richardson after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on October 8, 1931 in Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and returned to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytech nical Institute. Ken moved with his family to Richardson in 1962 working at Collins Radio and Recognition Equipment. Since 1974 he was President and Founder of Bitting Engineering, Inc., until his retirement 2 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of 40 years; daughter, Linda Bitting-, daughter, Ginger Lemons; son-in-law Steve; granddaughter, Stevie; mother-in-law, Lota Westbrook; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Bennye Cason; niece, Molly Johnson and her husband, Mark and their children, Sarah and Emily Johnson. Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 7700 Spring Valley, Richardson, with Rev. Ray Hennigh officiating. Interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park. Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery, located on Greenville Ave., 1/2 mile North of LBJ, 972-238-7111
