Mass of Christian Burial for Frank B. Albers, Jr., 86, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Church, Leestown Road. Rev. Charles Howell will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens where military honors will be conducted by VFW #4075 Honor Guard.

Mr. Albers died Wednesday at his residence. A native of Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Frank B. Albers, Sr. and Marie Cunningham Albers.

He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII and Korea, and a retired Warrant Officer of the Ky Army National Guard. Mr. Albers served as Transportation Agent and later as Chief Auditor at the USPFO for Ky. He was a life member of the National Guard Asso. Of Ky and VFW Post 4075, where he served as a Trustee and Post Chaplain. He was also a member of the post Honor Guard and Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Chapman Albers; daughter and son-in-law Donna R. and Scotty Harrod, Frankfort; brother, Bob (Barbara) Albers, Sr., Louisville; three grandsons, Chad (Jennifer) Kays, Oldham Co., Jason (Kelley) Harrod, Scott Co., and Phillip (Krystal) Albers, Frankfort; nine great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his son, Frank B. Albers, III; grandson, Edward H. Albers; sister, Marie Shirley Rochner, and brother, James Albers, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Chad Kays, Jason Harrod, Phillip Albers, Butch Smith, John Costigan and Ed Dance.
