ROY G. FRONZAGLIA
Was Cambridge Springs High School band director Roy G. Fronzaglia, 47, 3819 Warsaw Ave., died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at his home. He was born in Erie, Sept. 12, 1951, son of Simone and Pauline Silvestri Fronzaglia of Erie. He graduated from Cathedral Prep, then earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State University and a master's degree from Edinboro University. He taught at Penn State-Behrend the last four years and had been band director at Cambridge Springs High School since 1989. He worked as an emergency medical technician for Erie Ambulance Service, and was an EMT instructor and floor manager for the Lake Erie Institute of Rehabilitation. He taught at Cathedral Prep, where he took the school band to Vienna, Austria, and was director of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church choir. He also conducted the Erie Junior Philharmonic Youth Winds. He supervised the St. Patrick's Day parade for 13 years and was a co-founder and co-chairman of the Lake Erie Fanfare Drum and Bugle Corps show. He also directed the All-Erie County McDonald's High School Band. He was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta fraternity, the Penncrest Area Educators Association, the state and national education associations, the Times Old Newsies, the Thunderbirds Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps, the Cursillo Movement, the Knights of St. Patrick and the Legion of Mary. He was a Eucharistic minister at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a former member of its school board. He finished his first year as a member of the Permanent Deaconate class for the Catholic Diocese of Erie.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Patricia ''Pat" Rozumalski Fronzaglia; three sons, Michael, Paul and Brian Fronzaglia, all of Erie; two brothers, Nicholas Fronzaglia and his wife, Judith, of York and Ronald Fronzaglia and his wife, Marsha, of Erie; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends called at A.Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, 845 E. 38th St., followed by Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 130 E. Fourth St., at 10. Burial Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
