Edward was the son of Harry and Caroline Scott of Winslow, Buckinghamshire, UK. His sibblings were John, Thomas, Margaret, and David. His brother John was killed during WWI. Edward joined the navy at age 16 just before the end of the war. He later moved to Canada where he met and married Lillian Francis Richards ... they had three children, Lynn, John, and Sandra. When WWII broke out he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and served overseas for the duration of the war.
