Mr. McKelvey, who died Sunday in Sheridan was born 1-20-1920 in Vashti, North Dakota and grew up on Cook Creek east of Ashland where he worked on the family farm.
After his marriage to Erlys Swanson he was employed by Ed Hanson of Ashland at the Red Horse Service Station.
In 1958 he and his family moved to Miles City where Mr. McKelvey was employed by Cates Tire Store, Richardson Implement and later by the Eagles Lodge. He later moved to Story, Wyoming.
Mr. McKelvey is survived by his wife, Erlys, a son James of Deer Lodge, MT, four daughters, Nancy Solhiem of Polson, Janis Ferrell of Miles City, Joyce Livengood of Rosebud, Norene Carpenter of Great Falls; and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Harriet Daily of Billings; a brother, Glenn McKelvey of Ashland; and two sisters, Clara Beall of Corvalis, Oregon, and Lucille Ambler of Medford, Minnesota.
Buried 10-1-1980 at Story, Wyoming.
