Farewell, dear mother, sweet is thy rest, Weary with years and worn with pain, Farewell, until in some happy place We shall behold thy loving face.
Tis ours to miss thee all our years; There is a vacant place in our home that can never be filled. That none but a mother can fill.
And tender memories of thee we will keep, Tis thine in the Lord to rest forever; He gave His beloved sleep to those who trust Him.
