Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Weldon Butler, of First United Methodist Church in Hereford, and the Rev. Kenny Kirk, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Vega Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors of Amarillo.
Mr. Berger was born in Halstead, Kan., and had lived in Vega 45 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; a son Dan of Vega; a daughter, Janice Anderson of El Paso; a sister, Hilda Beuter of Ness City, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to Student Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church in Vega.
