ROSATO, GERARD - Gerard Rosato, a devoted husband and father, and longtime resident of Pearl River, NY, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 5, 2004. He was born May 29, 1939 to Kate Wagner from Menheim, Germany and Victor Rosato from Bari, Italy. Gerard served his country in the United States Army Reserves for six years. In 1965, he joined the New York City Police Dept. and rose to the position of Sergeant, retiring in 2002. Graduate of NY Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Locally, he was a member of the Sons of Italy in Blauvelt, NY. He also was a parishioner of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Pearl River. Gerard met and married Barbara Lucyk at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Bronx, NY on October 30, 1960. They had been married for 43 years. Gerard was a sportsman. He loved fishing and hunting at his country house in Phillipysort, NY. He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Valarie; sons Gerard and Peter; his dog Keegan; and two sisters Barbara Bachman of Roundrock, TX and Victoria Cardella of Palm Beach, FL. A Service will be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. Visiting will be held Sunday and Monday 3-5 and 7-9 P
