At age 4, on September 1, 1842, Elenor,4, and her mother,Maria Gillett, 24, sister, Martha Ann, 9 months and grandfather John Hill arrived in New York, on Ship Rochester, from Liverpool, England.
Elenor had her first daughter, Maria E. West in 1857. On December 24, 1862,in Philadelphia, Elenor married to Anthony Beam, a shoemaker, from Newark area, New Jersey. They had Martha Beam (1861-1863); Emma Sarah Beam (1865-1874); Elenor "Ellen" Beam (1868-1956) Anthony Abram Beam (1870-1931) and John Jacob Beam (1872-1875).
Elenor died on October 6, 1888, at age 49 at 1854 Buckius, Ward 23, in Bridesburg, and was buried at North Cedar Hill Cemetery on October 9, 1888. {Philadelphia Death Certificate}
