James P. Taylor, 52, formerly of Altoona, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at his residence. Born November 29, 1951 in Berwick, he was a son of E. Glade (Fronk) Taylor of York and the late Rev. J. Paul Taylor. He was a 1969 graduate of Altoona High School and most recently had worked as an Oracle Database Administrator for Capitol Blue Cross, Harrisburg. He was a member of the Wednesday night golf league at Armitage Golf Club, Mechanicsburg. In addition to his mother, Mr. Taylor is survived by his companion, Katharine E. Tristan of Camp Hill; a daughter, Amanda E. Taylor of Camp Hill; a son, Frank D. Taylor of Camp Hill; a brother, David W. Taylor of York; three sisters, Janice R. Johnson of Altoona, Carol J. Staley and Donna L. Taylor, both of York; seven nieces and nephews; and one great nephew. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Baumeister, Orcutt & Small Mortuaries, Inc., South Queen at Jackson Street, York, with the Rev. Dale L. Hippensteel, Pastor of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, York, officiating. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
