Mrs. Ross Fatally Stricken
Mrs. Mabel A. Ross, 69, of 3023 7th Ave. was pronounced dead on arrival at Leonard Hospital Friday. She was stricken while bowling in Wynantskill.
Mrs. Ross had been under the care of a physician.
A Coxsackie native, the former Mabel A. Benn had lived in Troy for 31 years. Mrs. Ross was formerly employed by the Troy Savings Bank, retiring four years ago.
She was a member of Christ Church, United Methodist, and the Senior Citizens Bowling League at Hi-Way Recreation.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence H. Ross; four daughters, Mrs. Francis O. Bevis of Shaftsbury, Vt., Mrs. Frederick J. Julien of West Stephentown and Mrs. Emil W. Noesen of Snyder's Lake; two sons, Donald F. Ross of Troy and Charles E. Ross of Mission Hill, Calif.; one brother, Elmer C. Benn of Gansevoort; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday from the Himes-Miner Funeral Home, 160 Pawling Ave., with Rev. William A. Groshans, pastor of Christ Church, United Methodist, officiating. Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery.
