She was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Poplar Springs, Mount Airy. She was a homemaker.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a daughter, Emma Josephine Burkett, of Mount Airy; a brother, Ryan S. Burkett, of Mount Airy; paternal grandparents William R. and Verna A. Burkett, of Creasaptown; aunts Marjorie J. Fazzalore and husband Rob of Keyser, W.Va., Marge Palmer and husband Paul of LaJolla, Calif., Dorothy Scharf and husband William, of Charlestown, W.Va., and Joan Sarfino and husband Gregory, of Bethesda; an uncle, William Wiltison, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and numerous cousins.
She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Joseph L. and A. Margaret Strong; and an aunt, Irene Wiltison.
