Helen Ruth Adams, 79, of Church of God Home, formerly of Carlisle, died Saturday in Carlisle Hospital.
Born May 22, 1909 in Cumberland Countys (sic) to the late Geary E. and Sarah Kitzmiller Myers, she was the widow of Owen Grant Adams and lived in Carlisle most of her life. A former employee of Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co., she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Richard L. Adams of Carlisle and William B. Adams of Thonotosassa, Fla.; a daughter, Joan L. Logan of Carlisle; two brothers, Wayne N. Myers of Lake Worth, Fla., and Edgar Goodhart of Wallace, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. William Groff officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.
