John Samuel Mills was married to Cynthia Cathrine Baskin (1847-1912) from the Holly Grove community. John and Cynthia had a number of children to include John Manuel Mills who is also buried in the Indian Creek Cemetery. His parents were Hugh McClellan Mills (1818-1880) and Esther Caskey ( 1814-1880) from Chester District , South Carolina.
