Mrs Nettie R Cornwell Pell wife of Scott Pell who died at the home near Carbon yesterday was a member of one of the pioneer families of Can Curen township. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin F Cornwell early coal operator and Brick manufacturer who erected what was probably the first Brick House in that community.

Nettie R Cornwell Pell Wife of T Scott Pell andn well known resident of Can Buren Townshop Die at the Residence near Carbon Friday AFternoon Following a long illness of Complications, aged 80 years.
Mrs Pell was born about a mile north of Brazil and was a daufhter of the Late Mr and Mrs Benjamin F Cornwell, pioneer settlers of NOrthern Clay county. Her father was a early coal operator and one of the first Brick manufacturers in Clay County and erected one of the first Brick houses in this part of the county which is the large two story Brock house still standing on the banks of Otter creek nirth of the city.
Mrs Pell had been a member of th Ebenezer U. B Church since 1882 and was a faithful worker for the church and devoted to her family.
A year ago last November Mr and Mrs Pell celebrated their 66 wedding anniversary.
Surviving her are the husband T Scott Pell, Threee daughters and four Sons, Mrs Vellie Weaver of CArbon, Mrs Elda Bohannon of Brazil, Mrs Cynthia Hood at home, Banjamin Pell, Staunton, THomas ERnest Pell of Brazil, Marshall Pell of Carbon, and Worth Pell of Beacon New York and a Sister Mrs Ella Hunt of Cleveland ohio. 21 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildre
The Body was removed to Pells funeral Home and will be returned to the home at 4pm Saturday. Funeral Will be held at the Carbon MEthodist Church Sunday at 2;30 [pm Intermant in the Pell Cemetery. REv Alex Porteus officiating.
