Canton, IL - Deanna R. Anderson, 74, died on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at 12:01 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1938, in Frederick, Ill., to Dwight and Viola Atkins Kuhn. They preceded her in death. Deanna married Richard Anderson on Aug. 28, 1955, in Canton. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Brad (Lynn) Anderson of Wee-Ma-Tuk and Craig (Tammy) Anderson of Bonfield; one sister, Carol Beadles of Canton; and four grandchildren, Jessica, Whitney, Scott and Tyler.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Orville and Glen Kuhn; and three sisters, June Kinnamon, Helen Constable and Mildred Chaney.

She was the owner and instructor at the International Beauty Academy, a member and secretary-treasurer of the women's Republican Club and won the Lee Colbert Memorial Award for outstanding service.

She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Canton and served in all aspects of the church. She was a past mother of the year for the church. She belonged to the Sigma Phi sorority.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
