William "Bill" Joseph Walker II, 63-year-old Fairland, OK resident, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, OK following an extended illness.
Bill was born March 24, 1942 in Banner Elk, NC to William Joseph Walker I and Madge (Hensley) Walker. He attended Oxnard High School in Oxnard, CA. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Bill was a longtime employee of the Case/Pryor Foundry in Pryor, OK. Bill was united in marriage to Gloria Yohn on February 27, 1964 in Enid, OK. They moved from Enid to Fairland around 1975. Surviving family members include: his wife Gloria of the home; mother, Madge Moore of Fairland, OK; one daughter, Eva Detherage and husband Mark of Fairland, OK; two sons, William J. Walker III of Welch, OK, Jeffrey Leon Walker of Fairland, OK; one brother, Jeffrey Felix and wife Cathy of Oxnard, CA, and eight grandchildren.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Walker Home, 61850 East 220 Road, Fairland, OK.
