Michael was the third of 12 children born to Earl Lawrence and Helen Margaret (Welter) Blaylock. He married Susan. Together they had 4 children: Alexander, Joseph, Paul, and Richard.

Blaylock, Michael A. age 66, of Burnsville, passed away on August 13, 2009 after a lengthy and heroic battle with MS. Survived by wife of 46 years, Susan; sons, Alexander (Beth), Joseph (Lorrie), Paul (Mary Lee) and Richard (Linda); grandchildren, Michaela, Damita, Christopher, Bralin, Emma, Connor and Jack; siblings, Larry, Mary, Wally, Nancy, Jean, Dave, Marnie, Marcia, Dan and Dick and many other family members and friends. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM, visitation 9:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18 at St. Joan of Arc, 4537 3rd Avenue S., Minneapolis.
