The daughter of Dock P. and Betsy Ann Love she was born August 27, 1883 in Hardeman County, Tennessee and move to Missouri in 1923. She became a Baptist in her early teens.
Funeral services were December 28, 1971 at the Holland Baptist Church with the Rev. Owen Ring officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Raymond Johnson.
The widow of Joseph D. Potts, she is survived by six sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Dolly Burkett, Mrs. Ophelia Brand, and Everett Love of Lexington, Tenn.; Mrs. Armenda Montgomery; Mrs. Lillian Smith of Tupelo, Miss.; Mrs. Tima Hayes of McKenzie, Tenn.; Mrs. Delma Grissom of Memphis and Hobert Love of Kansas City, Kan.
She was the mother of five children: D.L. Potts and Venson Potts of Steele, Murry Potts of Holland, Mrs. Judgie Norrid of Route Three, Steele and Hooper Potts, deceased; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were D.O. Cannon, Clell Waldrop, Howard Smith, Billy Smith and great-grandsons, Tommy Dean Potts and Trent Johnston.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
