Helen Jeanette Sink Hickman Laws, 75, of Andrew Sink Road, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at Brian Center of Lexington after a period of declining health.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park by the Rev. Bruce Morasco of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Laws was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Davidson County to Andrew Sink and Mary Walser Sink. She was retired wrapper from Lexington Furniture Industries. She was a past member of Reeds Civitan Club and Reeds Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Sink and Archie Sink, and husband Herman "Buddy" Hickman.
Surviving are son Jeff Hickman and wife Shelia of Reeds; granddaughter Lakota Sierra Hickman of Reeds; brother AC Sink and wife Linda of Lexington; sister Norena Weant and husband Frank of Reeds; and her loving cat, Ginny.
Memorials may be made to West Davidson Food Pantry, 4600 W. Old U.S. Highway 64, Lexington, NC 27295 or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
