Eugene Bell, age 73 was born, May 20th, 1939 in the Rocky Branch community of Wayne County the son of the late Andy and Anna Gregory Bell. He passed away Sunday afternoon, February 26th at the Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

On March 30th, 1962 he united in marriage with his surviving spouse: Hildegard Hiller Bell. To this union three children survive; his daughter: Patricia Bell of Monticello; and sons: Tom and his wife Shanda Bell of Monticello and Andy Bell of Somerset.

Also surviving are six grandchildren: Ashley; Joshua and Megan Bell; Kamron Barnett; Austin and Andrea Bell; his brother: Curtis Bell with several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

His brothers: Kermit and Rondal Bell precede him in death.

Eugene accepted Christ as his Savior as a young man and became a lifetime member of the Canadas Creek Baptist Church. He served his country with honor retiring from the United States Army and later retired from Belden Wire and Cable of Monticello.

The funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday morning in the Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Elk Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 5 to 9 Wednesday and Thursday until service time.
