Rites Held for A. M. Waggoner

Alfred M. Waggoner, 82, died Dec. 22, 1967 at the Evergreens nursing home, Pulaski, where he had been a patient two days. He had been in failing health.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home, Pulaski, with Rev. Mrs. Ethel M. Ingalls, pastor of the Altmar Methodist church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Nelson Reppert, pastor of the Park Methodist church, Pulaski. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Altmar.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edith Hamblin Waggoner; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Arlene) Barker, Altmar, and Mrs. Frances Michel, Liverpool; two sisters Mrs. Fred Eastman, Madison and Mrs. George Leete, Sheds; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Born in Vorea

Mr. Waggoner was born July 31, 1885, in Vorea, a son of Joseph and Arinda Bammert Waggoner. He attended Vorea schools. On Aug. 15, 1908, he married Miss Edith Hamblin of Altmar.

He had owned and operated his own garage in Altmar for years. Later, he was a mechanic at the Altmar school. For about ten years before his retirement in 1950, he was a mechanic at General Electric in Syracuse.

Mr. Waggoner was a member of the Altmar Methodist church and a 35-year member of the Altmar fire department, retired
