Mary Magdeline (nee Ritsche) Dado, 96 Amery Wisconsin died Friday, March 26, 2004.
She was born in Clayton Township on July 19, 1907 to John and Mary Ritsche. She grew up in the Clayton area and attended Sunny Slope School. She married John Dado on November 21, 1925. They were later blessed with five daughters.
The family farmed near Reeve and Almena. She also worked for Jerome Foods, Barron. They moved to Amery in 1966. She then worked for Kjosa Dry Cleaners. A few years after her husband passed away, she moved to Waters Edge Apartments, where she lived until moving to Golden age Manor, Amery, in 2001.
She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amery.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Delores Sorenson, Lorraine (Adolph) Scheps, Jeanette (Marvin) Dietrich, Shirley (Jim) Aus and Marlene (Barry) Davis; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and three brothers.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, from St Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. John Drummy and Deacon Bud Heiser officiating, with interment at Amery Cemetery. Cassie Hansen and the St. Joseph Choir provided music for the service.
Serving as Pallbearers were Harry Sorenson, Karen Sorenson, Ken Scheps, Dan Scheps, Mike Dietrich and Diane Segerstrom.
Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, handled arrangements.
