Don is a WWII Veteran who served in the Army for five years after enlisting in 1941. He was a Sergeant in the 36th Combat Engineers, Company "B" - which later became the 2826th Combat Engineers. He was in all of the European-African-Middle Eastern campaigns in Algiers-Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Anzio, Rome-Arno, Southern France (D-Day), Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe. He was a wonderful Dad and Husband and is sorely missed everyday, but is remembered lovingly - always.
