Russell Hancock Rites Held Here Friday Afternoon
Death Occurred In Los Angeles After Being Struck By Car

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church last Friday afternoon for Russell Hancock, in charge of Rev. C. T. Hawes and burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
Russell's death occurred in Los Angeles on March 29 after he had been struck by an auto at a downtown intersection.
Russell Hancock was born at Loup City September 14, 1908, being 32 years of age at the time of his death. He spent his childhood on the family farm two and a half miles southwest of Loup City until the family moved to town in 1919. He attended high school in Loup City and graduated with the class of 1926.
On July 3, 1938 he was united in marriage to Laura O'Bryan at Smith Center, Kans. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Hancock; his mother, Mrs. Cora Hancock, six brothers, Harold of LaJunta, Colo., Earl of Loup City, Arthur of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Cecil of Chicago, Hemple of Los Angeles, Ernest of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Mark Johansen of Hastings and Mrs. Arthur Hays of Grand Island.
