Terry L. Agnew, 62, of Erie, died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 11th at Newton Zion Reformed Church, 10465 Frog Pond Road, Erie. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday at Gibson Funeral Home, Erie. Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Terry was born September 26, 1949 in Moline, IL, the son of Ozie and Maxine (Guinn) Agnew. He grew up in Cordova and attended Riverdale High School. He married Gloria Schaver on August 23, 1968 in Lyndon, IL. Terry worked for 3M in Cordova for nearly 30 years. He is a longtime member of Newton Zion Reformed Church. Terry enjoyed drag racing at the Cordova Raceway. He also liked to hunt and cook and spend valuable time with the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Terri Agnew, Erie, Dane Agnew, Erie; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Joe Greul, Lyndon; sister, Charlene Agnew, Port Byron; grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan and Zachary Agnew, Colton Greul and a grandson due in February; and one great grandson, Jaden Agnew. He was preceded in death by both parents.
