Mr. L. V. Kendrick - a native of Helena, AL and a longtime resident of Eight Mile, AL, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 in a local hospital. Mr. Kendrick was a World War II veteran and retired from Scott Paper Company after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Octavia Kendrick; two sons, Wayne Kendrick and Charles Vernon Kendrick; one grandson, Bill Burt; two brothers and one sister. He is survived by three daughters, Connie (Ronnie) McKee, Brenda (James) Tillman, and Audrey (Clayton) Smith; three brothers, two sisters, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, with Reverend Scott Howard officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Mark McKee, Josh Smith, Lance Tillman, Darrin Kendrick, Scott Kendrick, and Jason Kendrick. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
