Mrs. Mabel Marks Painter, 76, of 1040 Main Street, Dunedin, Florida, died Wednesday evening, March 7, 1979, at Meace Hospital, Dunedin, Florida.

She was born in Moravia and had lived in Auburn for many years prior to moving to Florida 12 years ago. She was the widow of Ray Painter who died in 1976. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Auburn.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Phalen of Auburn, two sons, Raymond C. Painter of Auburn and David H. Painter of Rochester, three brothers, Fred Marks of St. Petersburg, Fla., Millard Marks of Moravia, and Willard Marks of Cortland, a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Bothwell of Genoa, nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 12, 1979, at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street. Rev. John Taylor will officiate. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions
may be made to the Second Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
