Abby was born to John and Abbie (Sullivan) Cusack in Pawcatuck, Conn. She was prececeased by her siblings Jack Cusack, Mary Heberer, Ann Mearns and Margaret Cusack. She was survived by her husband Gerry, their three children, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Abby graduated from Stonington High School and the New London Business School and worked as a secretary at Atwood Machine Company in Stonington, Connecticut where she met the love of her life, Gerry Pothier. After raising a family, she resumed a secretarial career as secretary to the vice President of Kellems Company in Stonington.
Abby was active in St. Michael's Church in Pawcatuck, with the Ladies Guild. She was a member of the Ancient Order of Hiberians. In retirement, Abby and Gerry enjoyed many years of wintering in Vero Beach, Florida. She loved to swim and loved to entertain her family and friends.
