THEODORE BROKAW HEART ATTACK VICTIM
Theodore P. Brokaw of 207 North Broadway, Nyack, died suddenly yesterday in New York City while applying for a position at the American Airlines office at 100 East 42nd Street.
Mr. Brokaw, long time Nyack resident, was the victim of a heart attack. A surgeon from Bellevue Hospital in New York City and the inhalator crew of the Police Emergency Squad worked over Mr. Brokaw unsuccessfully and he was pronounced dead. His body was taken to the Bellevue Hospital morgue.
Well known for many years in Nyack, Mr. Brokaw was head of the Nyack Taxpayers Association and active in village election campaigns at various times.
Last of three brothers, Mr. Brokaw was in his 67th year. His late brothers were Clarence Brokaw and Eugene Brokaw of New City, all of whom also died suddenly.
Mr. Brokaw is survived by his wife, Emma. Services will be held at his home on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with the Rev. J. Edward Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
