Professional Hockey Player. A native of Meaford, Ontario, Vail played for teams in the Canadian Amateur Hockey League (CAHL), National Hockey League (NHL), and the International Hockey League (IHL). He played for the Springfield Indians from 1926 to 1930, New York Rangers from 1928 to 1930, Providence Reds from 1930 to 1933, Windsor Bulldogs from 1933 to 1934, Cleveland Falcons from 1934 to 1936, and the Montreal Shamrocks from 1935 to 1936.
