Annabelle "Anne" C. Hayes passed away February 28, 2012 at Tranquility Hospice in Cobb County following a short illness. Interment was in Cheatham Hill Cemetery.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Col. John E. Hayes, Sr. She was a longtime resident of Marietta, GA having moved from Ballground, GA where she was born on April 8, 1930 to Roy H. Cobb and Dorothy Barclay Cobb. She graduated from Canton High School in 1947 and Tift Business College. She was employed with Lockheed Martin for more than 35 years as a personal assistant to several Vice Presidents. Anne was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. After retirement, she was a devoted grandmother and a longtime volunteer at Kennestone Hospital. She also enjoyed extensive travel with her husband John. Anne will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.

Survivors include sons Steven Hobson of Woodstock, Dave Hobson, Jr. and his wife Donna of Florida; stepsons John E. Hayes, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Indiana, David Hayes and his wife Keri of Nevada, Todd Hayes and his wife Cathy of Georgia; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wellstar Community Hospice, 4040 Hospital West Drive, Austell, GA 30106.
