Madison – Stanley E. Crimmins, age 79 of 742 E. Johnson Street passed away on Monday, March 20, 1978 at a local hospital. He was born April 27, 1898 in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Crimmins was a mail carrier with the Post Office in the downtown area for many years retiring in 1955. He was a World War I veteran, serving with the Red Arrow Division. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 1318, the American Legion and the Letter Carrier Association. Survivors include a son, Stanley Jr., Pewaukee; a daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Virginia) Kelso, Tehran, Iran; grandchildren, Michael Crimmins, Montana, James Crimmins, California, Terri and Timothy Kelso both of Madison; a brother, Richard Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda in 1956. Private funeral services will be held at Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr. on Wednesday, March 22. Reverend Vernon Awes will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. There will be no visitation. Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr. in charge of arrangements.
